Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with specific populations?

Yes. I work with adults of all genders, cultural backgrounds, and relationship structures who are seeking embodied healing, deeper self-understanding, and meaningful transformation. My practice is especially aligned with:

  • People seeking somatic therapy to address anxiety, relational wounds, attachment trauma, or nervous system regulation

  • Men’s Work — supporting men in exploring masculinity, emotional resilience, confidence, purpose, and grounded leadership

  • Individuals, couples, and relationship constellations navigating conscious relationships, power dynamics, and deeper connection

  • Sacred Sexuality — individuals and couples exploring their erotic energy, intimacy, sensuality, and the integration of sexuality as a sacred part of their spiritual journey

  • Those healing from trauma, including developmental trauma, attachment wounds, sexual trauma, and identity-based harm

  • Spiritually curious individuals, including those integrating plant medicine experiences, exploring spiritual awakening, or seeking deeper purpose and alignment

  • Folks in non-traditional or non-monogamous relationships, including polyamory, open relationships, and conscious partnerships

Whether you are grounded in a specific identity or just beginning to explore who you are, you are welcome here—with your complexity, your questions, and your unique journey.

What is somatic therapy?

Traditional talk therapy focuses on discussing thoughts and emotions to create change. While valuable, this approach overlooks the body—the source of many deep-rooted responses.

Somatic therapy focuses on experiencing rather than just talking about what's happening. It’s about tuning into how your body responds in the present moment, whether it’s tension, tightness, or subtle sensations. These body cues give us direct insight into what’s really happening beneath the surface—something that words alone can’t capture.

Research shows that our physical responses, like gut feelings, influence our thoughts and behaviors. By becoming aware of how the body reacts, we can work from the inside out to create lasting change, rather than just trying to shift mental patterns.

In somatic therapy, we use the body’s wisdom to guide healing, helping you reconnect to your deepest sense of self and transformation.

What should I expect in a session?

Sessions are collaborative, attuned, and paced to meet your nervous system. We might explore a current issue, slow down to notice body cues, or work with a memory or belief that surfaces. Some sessions are more conversational, others more meditative or embodied. There’s space for curiosity, emotions, insight, and integration — all guided by your inner readiness.

How should I prepare for a session?

You don’t need to come in with a specific plan, but it helps to reflect on what’s alive for you: What’s been stirring? Where do you feel stuck or curious? Wear comfortable clothes, and if we’re working online, choose a private, quiet space where you can be present. Bring water, and if you like, a journal for notes or reflections.

How often should I come to therapy?

It depends on your needs, goals, and capacity. Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and deepen the work. Some shift to biweekly as things stabilize or integrate. We’ll check in regularly and collaborate on a rhythm that supports your process without overwhelming your system or schedule.

What’s the difference between therapy and coaching in your work?

Therapy is often focused on healing emotional wounds, trauma, and patterns rooted in the past. Coaching supports integration, purpose, and forward movement. My work blends both, depending on your needs — allowing space for deep healing and empowered embodiment.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Both. I offer in-person sessions in Durango, Colorado, and virtual telehealth for Colorado residents.

What are your rates? Do you take insurance?

Individual sessions are $130 for 50 minutes.
Couples sessions are $180 for 75 minutes.

I do not accept insurance, but I can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your insurance provider allows. Please check with your provider to confirm your coverage.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged the full session fee. Emergencies are understood — please reach out if something urgent arises.
